MAKES ABOUT 36 CANDIES
This is a variation of Butterscotch Haystacks Candy, which are linked below. Both are quick and easy treats, perfect for cooking with young children. Make them for Halloween, Easter or for a special snack.
INGREDIENTS
- 6 ounces chocolate chips (see note below)
- 6 ounces chow mein noodles
- 1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts
Place the chocolate chips in a medium bowl. Place over a pot of simmering water. Stir constantly until melted. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the noodles and nuts. Drop in desired sizes, about one tablespoon each, onto parchment or waxed paper. Refrigerate until well-chilled, at least several hours. Keep refrigerated in a covered container until serving.
Note: Use any chocolate chips you prefer, either semi-sweet or bittersweet.
