CHOPPED STEAKS WITH MUSHROOMS AND WINE SAUCE (Steak Uno Momento)

SERVES 6

This is another of my mother's recipes. I believe she gave it the title, which means 'Steak in a Minute'. That is an appropriate name, as it is quick, easy and good.

INGREDIENTS

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add steaks and sauté until browned and cooked through. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Transfer steaks to a dish. Add garlic to skillet. Sauté until softened. Add mushrooms and sauté until lightly browned. Add the flour and stir to blend well. Stir in the wine and the oregano. Return the steaks to the skillet and cook until the sauce is thick and bubbly.
