When the weather turns cold, I crave heartier meals. Stews, soups and chowders are some of my favorite winter weather recipes. Some are quick and easy, others a bit more complicated and slow cooking. All of them make a delicious one pot meal, with just some good bread or a salad on the side. I always look forward to the opportunity to make my old standbys, or have fun and create new ones. Even though these recipes are posted elsewhere throughout Teri's Kitchen, I decided to compile them in one place for convenience. Most stews and soups, as well as some chowders, are even better made a day or two ahead and reheated. Many freeze well. So, browse through the recipes, find a favorite and enjoy!
