Strawberry Pecan Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing

Florence writes: "This recipe is a winner. Easy to make and heaven to eat. Great for ladies' luncheons, but men like it, too!"
Ingredients
- Fresh salad greens (romaine, spinach, spring salad, etc)
- Pint of fresh strawberries, halved
- Pecans pieces, as much as you like
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1-1/2 tablespoons minced onion
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds
Mix salad greens and halved strawberries in large salad bowl. Top with pecans. Combine the dressing ingredients and pour on the salad.
