(Shared recipe submitted by Ida Pletz.)
Makes one 9-inch pie
Ida writes: "This is another recipe I would like to share. My boss brought this to a team meeting and it was delicious and easy to make. Hope you enjoy this dessert."
Ingredients
- 1 package (8-ounces) cream cheese
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 graham cracker or chocolate crumb crust (Ida prefers chocolate)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 can of peaches
Allow cream cheese to reach room temperature; beat until fluffy. Add milk until blended and then add lemon juice and vanilla. The cinnamon can be sprinkled on the bottom of the crust or blended through the mixture. Pour 1/3 of mixture into crust, arrange peaches on top and then cover with the remaining mixture. May be decorated with fresh fruit or drizzle melted chocolate on top.
Notes: If using chocolate to drizzle on top, melt chocolate chips and add a small amount of milk to prevent chocolate from hardening completely.
