Drunk Chicken (Chicken Braised with White Wine)

- 2 chickens, 2 pounds each
- 1/4 pound butter or margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt, optional
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large onion
- 1-1/4 cups of white wine
Brown chickens in butter. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place onions in chunks around chicken pieces. Add white wine and cover. Cook over low flame for about 30 minutes. If you want to make it more like gravy instead of a sauce, all you have to do is add flour to the chicken before browning.
