Easy Braised Pork Chops with Creamy Mushroom Sauce
(Shared recipe submitted by Shirley Boyle.)
Shirley writes: "I finally have a recipe for you. This one is for pork chops. I fixed this and my husband said I couldn't fix it any other way! I know it's time to make it when he brings home the ingredients. I must admit, it is really good. The sauce makes an excellent gravy!"
Ingredients
- 6 to 8 boneless pork chops
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 can cream of mushroom with roasted garlic soup (Shirley uses Campbell's soups)
- 2 small cans, drained sliced mushrooms
- 1 empty soup can water
Brown pork chops on both sides, about 10 minutes, using a large pot. Remove pork chops and set aside. Put remaining ingredients into the pot. Bring to a mild boil. Put the pork chops back into the pot. Be sure they are immersed in the soup. Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes. Serve with rice or potatoes.
