Susannah writes: "This recipe was given to my sister back in 1964. Her friend, Mary
Molnar, had a visit from her Hungarian mother-in-law, who couldn't speak a word of English. She was showing Mary and my sister how to make authentic goulash. This is the recipe".
INGREDIENTS
Cube meat. Brown onion in butter; add meat and brown. Add caraway seed and marjoram, garlic and enough paprika to color red. Add water and simmer 2-1/2 hours. Add potatoes and cook till done.
