CARAMEL CORN

SERVES 6

Tammy writes: "This is a delicious recipe, great for fall. It comes from the New Junior Cookbook."


INGREDIENTS

  • 8 cups popcorn, popped
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla


Combine all ingredients, excluding popcorn and melt. Mix and cook for 5 minutes. Pour melted mixture over popcorn and coat all popcorn well. Put popcorn into a baking pan and cook at 300° for 5 minutes and then stir; repeat 2-3 times. Take popcorn out of oven, let cool and serve.
