Caramel Corn

Serves 6
Tammy writes: "This is a delicious recipe, great for fall. It comes from the New Junior Cookbook."
Ingredients
- 8 cups popcorn, popped
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 300° F. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, excluding popcorn, and melt. Mix and cook for 5 minutes. Pour melted mixture over popcorn and coat all popcorn well. Put popcorn into a baking pan and cook for 5 minutes and then stir; repeat 2 or 3 times. Take popcorn out of oven, let cool and serve.
