Creamy Scalloped Potatoes

Teresa writes: "This recipe my mother-in-law fixed while we were visiting over the holidays and I thought it was great."
- 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen hash brown potatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 pint sour cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup corn flake crumbs
Preheat oven to 350° F. Place frozen hash browns in greased 13x9-inch pan. Make a sauce out of remaining ingredients but use only 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup corn flakes. Spread the mixture over butter and corn flakes. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
