Okra and Tomatoes

Terrie writes: "Got something old from me that might be something new for all. My Gramma used to make this as a vegetable with her fried chicken, mashed potatoes and milk gravy. The same can be used with fresh, frozen or canned green beans."
- 1 pound bacon, sliced into 1/4-inch strips
- 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
- 1 bag of frozen or fresh okra (do not use canned)
- 1 can (about 16-ounces) tomatoes, stewed or regular
- Salt and pepper to taste
Sauté bacon with chopped onions. Add the okra, tomatoes, salt and pepper; simmer for 30 minutes.
