Chicken and Vegetable Soup with Dumplings

This idea comes from Ruth A. Burbage. Sounds like my kind of leftovers. My recipe for Chicken and Dumplings is in the similar and related recipes.

Ruth writes: "I love Chicken and Dumplings, but with just the two of us it is way too much. After a couple of meals I cut up any larger pieces of dumpling, add more chicken broth, a cup or two of mixed frozen vegetables, and turn it into Chicken-Dumpling-Vegetable Soup. This makes it a whole NEW meal! Happy cooking."
