This collection of appetizer and party food recipes, including first courses, hors d'oeuvres, dips, spreads and other party foods, some passed down from my mother, the remainder my versions of classics and of my own creation. Every now and then, I plan a dinner using a variety of finger foods in place of a regular meal because I like them so much. Placing the recipes in categories on this page for ease of browsing was a challenge, mainly because some can be used interchangeably. For example, all of the hors d'oeuvres are wonderful on a party buffet, but some can also be used as a first course appetizer. Additionally, some of the appetizers can be served as main dishes, as indicated on the individual recipes. I hope you find what you are looking for....and enjoy!
