Better Than 'xxx' Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 boxes vanilla instant pudding
  • One tub (small or large as desired) whipped topping, such as Cool Whip
  • Walnuts or Macadamia nuts (optional)
  • Shredded coconut (optional)

Bake cake according to box. Bring pineapple and one cup sugar to a boil, cool slightly, then pour over baked cake. Mix vanilla pudding, using 1/2 cup less milk than indicated. Spread pudding over pineapple. Add cool whip, top with sprinkled nuts. Add shredded coconut last. Refrigerate until serving.
