Strawberry Pecan Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing

Florence writes: "This recipe is a winner. Easy to make and heaven to eat. Great for ladies' luncheons, but men like it, too!"

Ingredients

  • Fresh salad greens, such as romaine, spinach, spring salad, etc
  • Pint of fresh strawberries, halved
  • Pecans pieces, as much as you like
   Poppy Seed Dressing
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds

Mix salad greens and halved strawberries in large salad bowl. Top with pecans. Combine the dressing ingredients and pour on the salad.
