Waffles with Beef, Potatoes and Gravy

(Shared recipe submitted by Chris Brown.)

Beef, Potatoes and Gravy

You brown round steak on both sides with butter. Add some mushrooms. Then add water to cover the meat completely. Add 3 cubes beef bouillon. Keep adding water to this as you cook this for about 2-1/2 hours or until the meat falls apart.

Make mashed potatoes as usual.

When your meat is finished you need to take the meat out and make gravy. Mix water and corn starch together until mixed. Then add 1/2-cup milk. Add this to the broth and also add mushrooms to the broth from the meat. Heat until hot. Do not boil.

Now you need to make waffles. This is the recipe:

Waffles

  • 2-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, well beaten
  • 2-1/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Mix together and make waffles in a waffle iron. When all is finished put the gravy all over everything and enjoy.
