Makes about 3-1/2 cups
If you are like me, you have always called sherbet by its alternate name, sherbert. However, the proper word is sherbet. No matter how you spell or pronounce it, it sure is a good dessert. What makes this recipe so easy is the frozen limeade. With the use of an electric ice cream maker, you can have homemade sherbet any day of the week.
Whisk together all the ingredients until well-combined. Add to ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer's instructions. Serve immediately or place in freezer for at least 2 hours to harden.
Notes: I prefer this just the way it is but, if you want a green color like store-bought lime sherbet, add a few drops of green food coloring when you combine the ingredients.
