Chocolate Chip Cake

(Shared recipe submitted by Beth Granger.)

Beth writes: "Here is a great little cake for any time...summer parties, outside events and on the go days. This is great and easy to take anywhere, and so good. Hope you enjoy using this recipe as much as I have."

Ingredients

  • l package yellow cake mix
  • l package instant vanilla pudding mix (can use sugar free)
  • l/2 cup vegetable oil
  • l/2 cup warm water
  • l cup sour cream (can use reduced fat or fat free)
  • 4 large eggs (can use egg beaters)
  • l/2 package of chocolate chips
  • Confectioners' sugar (optional)

Preheat oven to 350° F. Mix first 6 ingredients together using only a spoon, no mixer needed. After you mix this well, add the chocolate chips. Grease and flour a bundt pan and bake for 1 hour. When it cools, you can sprinkle confectioners' sugar on it. I usually do not wait for it to cool to cut into it and do not always add the confectioners' sugar.
