Peach Cobbler

(Shared recipe submitted by Beth Granger.)

Beth writes: "I have a yummy thing for you. It is my favorite easy summer dessert. This is very rich but so good and it goes a long way. You can also use the flavored peaches now like the raspberry or cinnamon flavor or, better yet, you can use cans of cherries instead."

Ingredients

  • 3 cans (15-ounces each) of peaches in lite syrup
  • 1 butter recipe cake mix
  • 1 stick (4 ounces) butter
  • Cinnamon (optional)

Preheat oven to 350° F. Use a nonstick metal casserole dish or you can use a Pyrex dish. Spray with a little cooking spray. Pour all three cans of peaches in the dish, juice and all. Sprinkle the cake mix all over the top. Cut butter into pieces and place all over the top of the cake mix. Sprinkle with cinnamon if you like. Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes. Serve hot out of the oven with whipped cream or ice cream.
