The day before or early morning of the serving day shake or pour the soy sauce over the block of cream cheese so that it puddles a bit in the dish. Cover with the sliced scallions and gently push into cream cheese. Refrigerate to let the flavors come together. Bring to room temperature before serving with wheat or your favorite crackers.
