Makes 32 cookies
Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease an 8-inch square pan. In small bowl mix, brown sugar, flour, and walnuts. Stir in butter. Reserve 1/3 cup of crumb mixture, and pat remaining gently into pan. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in small bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in remaining ingredients. Pour over warm crust; sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake 25 minutes more until golden brown on top. When cool cut into 2-inch squares, and then cut each square in half diagonally.
