Gloria writes: "This one is a recipe I grew up on, my mom's corn fritters. My sis and I went nuts for these! Can't say how many it should serve, but we both finished one recipe's worth in a sitting...easily."
Drain and reserve liquid from corn. Mix liquid with all remaining ingredients except corn until just blended. Add corn and mix slightly. Let mixture stand for ten minutes and fry on a hot oiled griddle. Serve with butter and syrup.
