Cream of Shrimp and Cream Cheese Dip

(Shared recipe submitted by Sue.)

Sue writes: "I have a great recipe for a hot dip. Better double the recipe as it will go fast and no one will guess what's in it."

Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of shrimp soup
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
  • 1 round loaf crusty Italian or dark rye bread, hollowed out
  • Bread cubes and/or vegetables for dipping

Place the shrimp soup and cream cheese in a double boiler and melt until well combined. Pour into the hollowed out bread loaf. I buy a second loaf of the bread and cut into cubes and put on a platter around the first loaf. Also good with a variety of veggies, but I prefer the bread. What could be easier for a hot dip?
