Watermelon Ice

(Shared recipe submitted by Dottie.)

Serves 3 to 4

Dottie cannot remember where she got this recipe, but claims it is very good. It sounds like it would be a refreshing, cold treat on a hot summer day.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart of fruit punch (can use any brand)
  • 1 cup watermelon, diced (with seeds, not rind)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Dice watermelon, with seeds, into very small pieces. Put diced watermelon into a container. Add the sugar and fruit punch. Stir all the ingredients together. You want the sugar to dissolve. Pour mixture into ice cube tray and freeze. When frozen, blend frozen cubes in a blender or food processor to desired consistency.
